Resources

Below are some links that I have found useful in my build and in dealing with the Miata PPF (Power Plant Frame).  These links will take you to external content which I have no control over.  Send me an email if one of them is not working and I will research a replacement.

Donor Options:

If you are here in Florida, Treasure Coast Miata is a great option for parts.  I actually wish I would have found them sooner.  Their prices are hard to beat and they relatively local.  Wes, the salesman I am working with, said they would be happy to sell the rolling power train with engine harness.  You could skip the whole strip and sell off steps.

Copart.com is the insurance auction site I used to get my donor.  Hard to beat the entry price but hard to inspect the vehicle prior to purchase.  Tricky route.

Kit specific info:

Here is a really good thread that covers the development from inception to production.  miataturbo.net – Cord’s dev thread

Miata specific info:

Miata.net has a great section for the dealer documentation of Miata’s here.  The Parts Index section is a good place to start.

Miata.net all so has a compatibility guide for those of us having to buy used parts.

Miataforumz.com has the full wiring schematic for all years here.

Mellens.net has the service manuals here.

While reading the dev thread I saw a few posters refer to a coolant mod that would make the miata engine coolant system work as originally intended.  A little research got me to this site that cleanly documents the whole process.
